Project Details

For $100, we can provide mosquito netting and bed mats for an entire family. Mosquito borne illnesses are rampant in Burma, and most families in Burmese villages do not have mosquito netting to protect them from disease carrying mosquitoes, nor do they have bed mats.

Families sleep on bamboo slates or sheets of leaves, which causes premature back problems and other physical ailments. Mosquito nets and bed mats are not expensive, but even this small amount is beyond a villagers means. If we can purchase these items it will reduce the amount of mosquito borne illnesses as well as give basic bedding for a Burmese family, which will improve their quality of life immensely.
