Project Details

KKI plans to build one grass hut as a place for new beneficiaries entering the program to crochet. Everyday the current beneficiaries gather in a grass hut where they produce their weekly production allotment. Sitting in a circle they sit comfortably, crochet, relate and laugh with each other. Through the funding of this project, KKI will be able to provide the same environment for new beneficiaries when its programs expand this September.

As the number of beneficiaries that KKI employs increases there is a need for the organization to provide another comfortable and encouraging work environment for new beneficiaries. Not providing this work environment would cause overcrowding in the current hut and would be bad for organizational morale. Building another hut for the beneficiaries of the crochet program will directly address this need. A safe, fair, comfortable and encouraging work environment will be provided for all beneficiaries taking part in the program. The capacity growth and personal development of beneficiaries will experience fast growth as a result of this intentionality.
