Project Details

The Harbor’s Vocational Training Center (VTC) is designed to supplement its residential program in several ways. It allows participants to gain additional experience in a number of vocations that will help round out their life skills. These vocations also give participants a taste of many possible career options so they have a clearer idea of what they want to pursue for long-term employment. Lastly, the VTC expands The Harbor’s influence in the community by allowing it to teach and serve many younger orphans who are not yet eligible for The Harbor’s residential program.

The Harbor currently runs a very rudimentary carpentry course. Professional equipment will be required to take it to the next level. It is for this reason that The Harbor seeks the requested tools. It will also be able to offer more opportunities for learning, and will also have the ability to produce small furniture items for sale.
