Get to know the dedicated members of our team. Each member of the WideAwake.org team is a volunteer, meaning no one receives any compensation for the work that they do.



Frank Victor-McCawley : Co-founder and President

Frank is the acting President of WideAwake.org. He is a corporate attorney in the Global Infrastructure and Development Group of Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. where he focuses on issues related to globalization and the international expansion of business. He graduated with honors from the University of Texas School of Law and holds a Bachelors of Engineering Degree from Vanderbilt University with majors in Mechanical Engineering, Psychology, and Communication Studies. Frank enjoys traveling, and currently lives in Dallas, Texas.

Brian Manning : Co-founder and Executive Director of International Operations

Brian currently manages our Aid Worker Organizations and related international operations. He worked as an attorney in Oklahoma, practicing in the areas of business litigation and employment law, before beginning his present employment as a diplomat for the U.S. Department of State. Brian holds a degree in Political Science from Oklahoma State University and earned his Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Minnesota Law School. He enjoys traveling, speaks three languages, and currently lives in Zagreb, Croatia, with his wife, Katie.

Megan Pate : Co-founder and Executive Director of U.S. Operations

Megan currently manages the domestic operations of WideAwake.org. Before joining the team full-time, Megan worked in the Marketing and Network Planning Division of Continental Airlines where she controlled revenue management strategies. She has also been employed by Mercer Capital Management where she conducted financial and business valuation analysis. Megan holds a degree in economics from Vanderbilt University and currently lives in Houston, TX with her husband, Cole.

Jason Hirshburg : Community Programs Manager

Jason manages the development of WideAwake.org's local and community programs. These programs are scheduled for introduction in 2010 to promote fellowship and fundraising in local communities and universities in the U.S. Jason is the CEO of TML Biotechnologies LLC, and holds a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Vanderbilt University as well as a Masters and PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University. He enjoys riding horses, and currently lives and works in Oklahoma City.

Katie Manning : Aid Worker Manager - Regional Operations

 

Katie manages WideAwake.org's Aid Worker relationships in Africa and Central and South America.  She lives in Santiago, Chile, with her husband, Brian.  Katie worked as a sonographer, performing the full array of ultrasounds, at a hospital before moving abroad.  She is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.  

Adrian Savedra : Media and Web Content Supervisor

Adrian works with our Aid Worker Organizations managing the receipt and publishing of Projects and other Aid Worker Organizations information on our website. In addition to his work at WideAwake.org, Adrian is a coach and website manager for A Life Worth Following - a Christian organization developing baseball clinics and elite baseball teams across the U.S. and Central America. He graduated from Oklahoma State University and currently lives in Edmond, Oklahoma with his wife, Tara.

Kevin Tsai : Aid Worker Manager - Regional Operations

Kevin manages WideAwake.org affiliate relationships in the Middle East and Asia.  After graduating magna cum laude from Brown University with a degree in International Relations, he worked as a legal assistant for a leading telecommunications law firm in Washington, D.C. and volunteered with the International Environmental Data Rescue Organization.  He is currently pursuing a J.D. degree at Harvard Law School.  Originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, Kevin enjoys traveling and reading fiction.
