Project Details
Foundation Debora, a Guatemala-based charity that supports at-risk persons, wishes to purchase audio equipment for use in its outreach programs with high school youths. The organization regularly holds seminars, workshops and other events at high schools that encourage positive life habits and educate the youths on important topics. Subjects addressed include: benefits of a drug-free lifestyle; violence prevention; children's rights; and sexucal and reproductive rights. The program is part of a broader community effort called "Think, Act and Be the Change." The program has its roots in Christianity.
At many of the presentations many students attend and the spaces are large, making it difficult for persons in the back to hear what is being said. The procurement of two speakers and two microphones will solve this problem, allowing Foundation Debora to impact more people. For just $350, donors can have the satisfaction of knowing that they have truly touched the lives of youths facing extremely difficult circumstances in impoverished Guatemala.
