Project DetailsThe Kokwa Primary School in rural Kenya provides top-notch education to elementary school students, imparting the knowledge and skills that will set kids on the path to success. The boarding school's bunk beds are, in addition to being uncomfortable, old and falling apart. Students cannot comfortably or safely sleep in many of the school's beds. The Kokwa Primary School needs 6 new bunk beds for its girls' dormitory. A local aid organization that supports the school, Friends of Kenyan Schools and Wildlife (FKSW), will purchase the six beds and deliver them to the school. The beds will be purchased and set up in the school within one week of this project being fully funded. At $100 per bed, just $600 will help 6 elementary students rest easy! FKSW is long-time supporter of the Kokwa Primary School and is a trusted partner of WideAwake.org. FKSW has undertaken a range of initiatives in the Kokwa area as well as in several other areas in impoverished Kenya that have truly made a difference in the lives of persons in need. Contributing to this project means contributing to a brighter future for Kenya.
