Project Details
The children at Kokwa Primary School in rural Kenya are in need of 5 metal bunkbeds. The grade school is a source of pride in the region, offering an excellent education in a healthy environment to children from impoverished families. The kids live at the school during the academic year, sleeping in dormatories. Five of the old wooden beds used by the school have fallen into disrepair; 3 of them are completely unusable, forcing 3 children to sleep on the floor on a thin mattress. Providing five new, metal bunkbeds will allow 10 children to sleep safe and sound.
Local aid organization Friends of Kenya Schools and Wildlife (FKSW), will purchase the bunkbeds within two weeks of this project being fully funded, and will deliver them immediately to the Kokwa Primary School.
