Project Details

Clean drinking water is a scarcity in Hyderabad, India, especially in its slums.  Local aid organization WOMEN Hyderabad plans to purchase 20 water storage cans that will help 20 impoverished families ensure that their water is safe.  Sickness abounds in the slums, and poisoning due to drinking bad water is common.  The water storage cans will help families keep fresh water safe for several days at a time, enhancing their health.  WOMEN Hyderabad will purchase the storage containers within two weeks of this project being fully funded, and will deliver them and teach the families how to use them within another week.  This is an on-going project, meaning as many 20-unit packages will be purchased and distributed as funding allows.  By contributing to this project, donors are truly making life a little easier and a whole lot safer for persons in India who could use a hand.
