Project Details

This project will provide Kirepari Nursery School, located in Kenya, with crucial school supplies such as paper, pencils, and exercise books, making it possible for the children to obtain a quality education. In Kenya, children are required to attend nursery school before they can be admitted to primary school; however, many rural communities within the country cannot afford to construct or maintain nursery schools for this purpose. Established in 2004, Kirepari Nursery School strives to bridge that gap, and provide an important educational foundation for children ages 3 to 6.  Local aid organization Friends of Kenya Schools and Wildlife (FKSW) is a steady supporter of the nursery school, and will purchase the supplies for the school within two weeks of this project being fully funded.  The $110 called for by this project will provide enough supplies for some 60 children to use, and should last at least two years.    FKSW is proud to support the Kirepari Nursery School and the local residents in the area through a host of community development initiatives, with a strong focus on educational advancement.  FKSW works hand-in-hand with local leaders to promote sustainable development in Kenya, something that will go far in enhancing the quality of life for citizens of the impoverished country.
