Project Details

The Project will allow local aid organization Keda CBO to purchase new sports equipment for the physical education class at a local school it supports for the purpose of teaching the students new and fun ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle.In order to teach the students in an elementary school with which Keda works about maintaining a healthy lifestyle, the organization would like to purchase jump ropes, basketballs, soccer balls, volleyballs, badminton supplies, cones, climbing ropes, a volleyball net, bowling supplies and other items to keep the children active all year round. The physical education class at the school is rendered almost worthless because of a lack of equipment . Children are relegated during the cold winter months – which constitute a good chunk of the school year - to playing chess or checkers, as opposed to more active games that would support good physical and mental health. With the tools the project will afford the children will learn both group and individual ways in which to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle, which will contribute to their overall health and well-being.
