Project Details

Project Hope proposes to paint the walls of schools and neighborhood centers in the refugee camps in the Nablus district in Palestine. International and local volunteers will work with children of these neighborhoods to bring life and color to their streets and walls. The design will be inspired by artwork gathered from the children and the painting will be a cooperative effort between the adults and children.The murals that will emerge from this project will show the children involved and others as well that there are people who care about the conditions in their camp and who are striving to make them better, even if it is simply putting some color into the neighborhood. This will also give the children participants pride in their work and in their streets and neighborhoods.
