Project Details

Gautemalan chairty Foundation Debora seeks funding to repair 24 tables the organization uses in the day care center it runs.  Every day, over 60 children ages 2 - 6 receive care in a safe and loving environment from the Foundation Debora staff.  Most of the children come from backgrounds of extreme poverty.  The meals they receive at the day care constitute the only real nutrition many of them receive for some time.  In addition to having fun, the kids learn important lessons and valuable skills that help prepare them for primary school.  Unfortunately, the tables used at the center are extremely worn down - many are falling apart, presenting a health hazard for the children.  For just $395, Foundation Debora will be able to repair all 24 of the tables it uses in the day care.  Foundation Debora is a trusted partner of WideAwake.org, and is doing a world of good for vulnerable persons in the impoverished country of Guatemala.  This project will directly contribute to the well-being and education of over 60 children, who count on the day care to meet their various needs.
