Students currently learn the sciences purely from outdated books without any chance to apply the theory in any concrete way. We hope to purchase supplies such as petri dishes, magnets and props for the physics class room to help bring the theory and mathematical formulas to life in the class room. We also would like to purchase basic chemistry supplies such as gloves, protective eye glasses, balances, and up to date periodic tables for Vaio’s local secondary school.Students currently learn physics and chemistry, two highly conceptual classes, only from books and the lectures of from their teachers.. We hope to provide visual aids that will engage students and give them a better understanding of what they are learning by allowing them to witness physics and chemistry in action directly in the classroom. With the requested supplies students will be engaged and challenged in ways they have yet to encounter, and have the opportunity to see the direct results of the scientific theory right before their eyes.
