Three months from receivingfunding, the WOMEN Hyderabad will clean up the surrounding 4 slum areas with the local slum women helping and learning in the process with kitchen gardening and tree planting.The WOMEN Hyderabad organization plans to work on 2 programs that will work with the local women to clean up 4 slums to provide better hygiene, cleanliness and health as well as provide education, and work and a sense of pride and responsibility for the local women. The plan is to clean up the surrounding alleys and small streets as well as 2 programs that are to design and set up kitchen gardens and clearing of areas to get them ready for tree planting. The gardening will provide cost savings for vegetables and fruit as needed. The funding is required for purchasing cleaning supplies as well as gardening supplies and equipment such as seeds, pots, trowels, etc. The trees will be provided in part by the local government agencies.
